Hello 2016!

We had such an amazing year in 2015. We have grown so much just in one year and plan keep getting better. Something that will be happening in the next few weeks is a completely new website. We have been developing new tech to make our presentations better. We have great things in the works. A Huge Thank You to our clients. So many sessions to share but no time to do so.

We wanted to congratulate our 2016 Cover model Vivian Vice!! Vivian was the star of Ms. Barry's Boudior that was an official selection  at the 401 Film Festival.

  In the next few weeks our new blog will be embedded in our website.  We will always keep this blog live with images and link to our new blog.

Roaring Twenties Party and Tintypes.

We had such a great summer preparing for the Roaring Twenties Party at the Crane Estate.  We spent a few weeks afterward in the darkroom insuring that we would get the best tintype for our clients. We are so excited for this event for next year that will be on a Saturday. We loved working with our vintage camera and it brought us back to our grass roots and got us out of the computer chair this summer. We are going further into study of tintype photography this fall and will keep you posted of our adventure.We will be offering in the studio from now on in addition to our other sessions. We are also will be offering tintype at a few events in 2016.

Summer Sessions!!!

Yay! Summer is here!!!! We are still open as we renovate landscape of our property. By summer 2015 we will be complete with Vintage Patio, pool, and tented cabana sets. We are still shooting in the studio and on the property this year regardless.

Contest! Have we worked together before?

We have photographed hundreds of women over the past six years in the Vintage Pin-up style. We have decided to have a contest for our past clients.

We will be picking eight finalist images that will be  Re-enhanced/Vintage AD to showcased album on  our Facebook page for one week.

Image that with the most likes after 5 days will be the winner of a 11x14 gallery wrap of their image.

Spring, New Products, Sessions, and Pricing Changes!

 With spring approaching fast we have decided to revamp some of our  products and sessions!

New Products

We live in the age of digital imagery. The studio has taken a direction of more tangible products. Our custom designed large calendars, magazine, and coffee table album are all one of a kind. They are individually designed and thought out depending on your themes.  During our consultation for your session we would love to talk to you about these items and ways of presenting them as gifts.

ReVamping of Enhancements

 If you noticed during your session we have we have the capability of creating a 1950s style Advertisement of your session.  Our new revamped enhancements will be presented on gallery wrap canvas in sizes of 11X14, 16x20 and 20x24. Think of the conversational piece of finished art work to be enjoyed for future years and generations.

New Sapphire Sessions and self-styling sessions.

We have many calls to the studio for aspiring models. We have now designed a session for these individuals called The Sapphire session.

We have been so busy in the studio last month with clients and testing out new sets for the Spring. It is going to be an amazing 2014 and we are so excited for warmer weather.

Full Speed Ahead!

Two weeks ago we had the pleasure of attending Full Speed Ahead 2013 on the USS Salem in Quincy, MA. The weather was perfect. I was a bit busier this year photographing some amazing women that I had met in the past few months.  These creative sessions give me  the artistic inspiration to bring in to the studio and to share with my amazing clients.

Although Vintage Girl Studios mostly specializes in Vintage Recreation Portraiture and Pin-up photography. We love to have fun in the studio with our clients who have their own concepts. We love working with you to achieve that dream of being that girl even if it for only for a day. We all deserve it.

Bachelorette Parties and Group Sessions at Vintage Girl Studios

We have been so busy in the studio this year with group sessions and bachelorette parties. These larger sessions is a great way really bond with your girl friends.


Vintage Girl Studios takes a real hand on approach to these sessions by open communication through consultations, email, and phone calls with each guest before the date of the session.  We understand that  some guest may have some anxiety of being photographed and we do take that into consideration. Most of our clients really have never had worked with a professional photographer since they were a high school Senior or their wedding. Some guest may not know other guest as well (For example: Sister of the groom may not know the Bride's college or work friends). We take all these concerns when there is a party at our studio. 

Our day starts with your party arriving at the studio located in the Sayles Mill Photo Collaborative in Lincoln, RI. We then come up with a game plan of wardrobe for each guest. Each guest will have their Vintage make over and then proceed to the photo room when they will be working one on one with our photographer. At the end our all the guest sessions we will be doing group photos.

– Autorama / Boston World of Wheels’ Pin- Up Pageant

Ol’ Skool Rodz Magazine, Bombshell Betties, and Vintage Girl Studios will be holding its third annual Pin-up Pageant on Saturday, March 23^rd.   The pageant is a featured event during this three-day Boston World of Wheels extravaganza. 
The theme of the Pin-Up Pageant is 40's, 50's 60's classic pin-up style.   Contestants will be judged based on their wardrobe, make-up, hair, Q&A , and audience interaction/appeal.   1^st prize is $300 and a Pin- up portrait session with Vintage Girl Studios. Cash prizes for 2^nd and 3^rd place. Contestants must be female and 18 + to enter.  No swimsuits or lingerie wardrobe is permitted in competition.  Admission to the pageant is free with admission to World of Wheels.  The Contest begins at 9:00 p.m. at the Seaport World Trade Center in downtown Boston, contestant check in at 8pm. 

Contestant registration is closed. Due to the overwhelming response online. 

During the preparation for this event VGS has had the pleasure of working closely with The Bombshell Betties. These women are truly amazing and look forward to seeing them more this year.

Bombshell Betties is a social network of lovely ladies who are enthusiasts for the nostalgia of the hotrod/car/pinup scene. They love everything from those good old days of our parents and grandparents era.... the cars, the clothes, the music even the furniture and of course most of all the Pin-Up models!
  They understand that entering the hot rod or pin-up scene might be intimidating especially for a beginner, so the goal of the group is to extend a welcoming hand out to others who want to be a part. Their goal is to be supportive and encourage other women to discover their potential and inner beauty, no matter what their size, shape or color!

Bombshell Betties founder, Janice Allen, cut her teeth in the hot rod scene by way of her father's flea market stall in Amherst N.H. helping her dad sell antique car parts to vintage car hobbyists. It was there she was bitten by the nostalgia bug and became interested in pin-up era style and dress, which eventually led to her becoming a budding photographer, doing photo shoots of hot rods and pin-up girls at local cruise nights. She was often asked by girls on the side lines watching "How could I be a pin-up?" Or "Where is a good place to buy vintage clothes?" Or " Where can I learn how to do my hair and make-up in pin-up style? And that is how the idea of Bombshell Betties was born.
